Scope and Contents

This collection of ephemera on women and children in Brazil consists of pamphlets, flyers, and serials published by governmental and non-governmental organizations between 1983 and 2005. Materials reflect the interrelationships of poverty and race and their impact on the lives of women, children, and youth. The collection is divided into seven subject areas: child abuse, child labor, children's rights, family and community action, general issues, legislation and policy, street children, and women. Within each section, items are alphabetically arranged by publisher and title.

Processing Information

This collection was processed by Ana Cordovil, Renee Hyde, and Gabrielle Winkler in 2008. The finding aid was written by Gabrielle Winkler in 2009.
