Abstract
Arthur Frederick Rall served in Vietnam for the Central Intelligence Agency during the early 1970s. This collection includes several drafts of Rall's memoirs of his time as a CIA operative in Saigon, as well as correspondence, essays and magazine pieces, and embassy memoranda.

Rall
Arthur Frederick Rall served in Vietnam for the Central Intelligence Agency during the early 1970s. According to the dealer's description, Rall was placed on detached duty with the American Embassy in Panama and traveled extensively through South America from August 1941 to October 1942. During World War II, Rall served as confidential secretary to Secretary of War Henry L. Stimson at the Potsdam Conference in Berlin, Germany, and toured Europe as private secretary to John J. McCloy when he was High Commissioner of Germany. In September 1945, Rall accompanied McCloy and noted historian Douglas Freeman on a world tour. After the war, Mr. Wall served in many intelligence and diplomatic capacities.
