Abstract
Consists of mostly nineteenth-century material collected by Orlando F. Weber, a prominent industrialist with an interest in the history of corporate practices and economics.

The collection consists of letters, with typed transcripts, of 19th-century economists, philosophers, and others, including Mathew Carey, Henry C. Carey, Edward Everett, John Stuart Mill, T. A. Robinson, and Isaiah Thomas, as well as deeds and invoices of Mathew Carey, which were collected by Weber, a prominent industrialist with an interest in the history of corporate practices and economics.

Weber
Orlando F. Weber (was head of the Allied Chemical and Dye Corporation from 1920 until his retirement in 1935. He gathered his library as a basis for his studies of managerial methods, and as part of a research program which aimed to present the complexities of economic theory in simple terms to the average citizen.
